Americans just make the voices too dramatic, because they don’t trust kids to recognize lesser tones of voice.
There’s going to be another part of the manga, supposedly focusing on Yuugi himself. That’d be a welcome change!

I think the dubbers like to keep Kuriboh’s safe cute and fluffy image. Cute fluffy creatures shouldn’t bite. ^_^
Oh I knew they’d dub the Doom Saga. I don’t expect them to take a whole arc out. But it’ll be interesting to see how they change some of it!

- Is it just me, or do Rishid’s scars change sides of his face? *gasp* It does, it does!
- Isn’t it amazing how when Yuugi plays a trap card, it’s an ingenious strategy, but when Rishid plays one, it’s cowardly?
- There’s no way Rishid could have remembered being left by the Ishtars’ well. Silly dubbers.
- Ah, if only Mariku had let Rishid defeat Jounouchi his way…
- Heh heh… Insector Haga and Dinosaur Ryuzaki have such a funny relationship. ^_^

- By the way, if you haven’t gone to Janime’s site yet, you need to do that to catch up on the anime and manga. You can learn a lot there!
- Oh, and apparently there will be a new part to the manga soon!
- Hmm… Apparently the Seal of Orihalcos can control the god cards. That shouldn’t be.
- Ah, there’s a new Yu-Gi-Oh movie coming out! It’s due to be released in America on August 13, 2004, but Japan doesn’t have a release date yet. This should be interesting!
- Eee, I love the rivalry between Anzu and Rebecca over Yuugi. ^_^
- Eee, Rebecca’s so cute. ^_^ I take back the mean stuff I said about her before, I love her! And in the Doom arc, she’s settled down a lot. She’s a college student, you know!
- Black Magician Girl plays a rather big part in the Doom saga compared to most others (except the Egypt one). That makes me happy!
- I want Seto’s purple trench coat! ^_^
- Heh… The dubbers cover the little pentagram jewel on the Black Magician Girl’s costume. ^_^
- Hey! A rerun? Not fair! I don’t want a rerun…
- Mokuba’s eyes didn’t glow red in the Japanese version.
- When Kaiba runs into the tunnel in Noa’s virtual world to find Mokuba, Yuugi and the others call after him to stop, and get frustrated at him for rushing in when it could be a trap. But really, if it were their family member or closest friend, they would never do any differently.
- That Mokuba-becoming-Noa thing was a little disturbing!
- Heh, I can’t wait until the end of the Noa arc, when Yami Mariku breaks in to smash everything. ^_^
- Noa should consider some pants instead of those white shorts.
- The baby crying that Yuugi and Anzu heard in Noa’s mansion sounded a lot more real and less like Kuriboh in the Japanese version.
- What do you think happened to the Ghouls after Mariku was defeated and went back to Egypt with Isis and Rishid?
- Heh, the truck Jounouchi drove in the virtual world only had 3 wheels. ^_^
- …The penguin of the Big 5 wasn’t asking to choose a body first. He just wanted Shizuka’s body, and she didn’t want anything to do with that pervert. ^_^
