Mariku: When I rule the world, I'll own Yu-Gi-Oh! Until then, Indigo, Seena, and Queen of Games don't, either, and make no money off of these rants. Also, there may be spoilers below! Those of you trying to avoid them should look elsewhere!
Lady Kalan Kaiba of Conte- That's ok- I know the feeling! I haven't updated yet anyway, so I got your review in time...
I actually got an August Shonen Jump last week! They didn't have any at three bookstores I went to, and I ended up getting one at a video store.
This episode was okay... The commercials did take a lot of the drama away. They cut a lot out of it, too.
*looks at floor* Well, I haven't seen ANY of the Japanese manga, and previously not very much of the translated version, either... I'll try to get a September Shonen Jump to see Mokuba, though!
Yah, it should be a nice change to see someone else duel for once. I hope they delay it for another week, though, so Seena can rant on it. She knows more about Yami Bakura's past than I do, and I've never seen the subtitled version of that particular episode, whereas she has...
Oh, you weren't fangirlish... don't worry!
Lori Kimaya- Yah, Kuriboh talks during the Noa episodes. Supposedly, it has a high-pitched and cute voice... I personally can't tell the difference between any Japanese voices- I don't hear it very often- but it's one of the clips I've seen of the Japanese version. Kuriboh comes out of Yami Yuugi's deck instead of the Black Magician and asks him to trust it.
grr, they really killed this episode brutally. They shortened the climax by at least five minutes. They cut out most of Mai's lines and all of the violence...
You're right- American kids are much more mature than the dubbers give them credit for. Most of them are already watching R rated movies and such- they've already seen far worse things than anything in the undubbed version.
Yah, Kouji (blah, don't kill me for the spelling, Digimon fans) has a brother named Kouigi. He was an evil Digimon named Duskmon until the heroes saved him. Now he follows them around and does nothing useful. I like Kouji better^_^
Dear Ra, are you serious? They're actually making a live Yu-Gi-Oh movie? Any movie with Orlando Bloom in it is destined to be great... So far, everything he's been in has been awesome- The Lord of the Rings and Pirates of the Caribbean (has anyone seen the latter, by the way? I've have- three times...) equal each other in greatness. I can't picture Frankie Muniz as Yuugi either... Where'd you see the article? It'd be very interesting if they actually made it.
FG- Oh, I know. I've had too many vacations this summer- they get boring after a while. I'm glad you're back! ^_^
eh, Don't worry, I didn't do much to celebrate Mokuba's birthday, either... I'm sure he'll appreciate you just being aware that he has one.
Yu-Gi-Oh fuzzy posters...? I can imagine a fangirl doing all sorts of strange things to a fuzzy poster... *shudders*
Olga Lydia Villarreal- Hmm... alright, I will... You can tell them yourself, too- just talk to the TV while you're watching Yu-Gi-Oh^_^. Good choices. If I were a fangirl, I'd be a Mariku-worshipper, too...
Setine- You're right! Dice aren't hard enough to physically disable a person. I suppose if you got hit in the eye or on the temple or something it would hurt, but on the forehead only stings a little bit. They cut out Kaiba's great lines today- shame on the dubbers!
I don't know. I wondered that, too. They have a few other inconsistencies in the dubbed version, too.
You mean Neo from The Matrix? I like the way he dresses! He and Seto do dress similar, I guess. Neo's coat is infinitly more awesome, though. It's black!
Anime*2000- I'm too young to drive by myself, too! If I won a car, though, it'd be there and waiting for me to get my license... I'll be getting my permit pretty soon, too, so I'd be able to drive it around with supervision anyway...
Well, I only watch Kid's WB for Yu-Gi-Oh... I wouldn't watch it if they stopped after the Battle City arc (or, rather, the Alcatraz Tower arc).
I hope Mariku's voice turns nice again! He's just so much... nicer when he's being nice^_^.
Indigo- Did I spell it like that? *looks* Dear Ra, I did... I've changed it now.
You met Seena? That must have been fun^_^.
Yah, I actually did get the August Shonen Jump! I went out and bought it yesterday. They were mean to Shaadi. Yami Yuugi's almost worse in the manga than he is in the anime, from what I've seen.
Well, thank you! I'm probably doing a far worse job than you all have given me credit for... It's been fun, though! Thanks for letting me do it!
Nano Mecka- I HOPE ****** isn't dead. You're right- J.K. Rowling left some pretty strong clues that he wasn't, especially that hint about the veil...
Oh, yes, wasn't that episode lovely? Lots of shots of Mariku ^_^
They seem to be cutting more out lately than usual. Baka dubbers.
- Erg, I'd be willing to bet that they didn't even count the votes for the 'Click and Pick Saturday'. No rabid Yu-Gi-Oh fan would want to watch 'Keith's Machinations'... They'd taken the voting mechanism off off thier website before they even announced that you could vote last Saturday. Grr, how annoying.
- Pegasus is so cool at the end of the Jounouchi vs. Keith episode! It was stupid of them to edit out the gun, though...
- The built in microphone on Seto's coat reminds me of those things that Star Trek people wear.
- Wow, there were a lot of flashbacks in the new episode. It looks like... Every duel Jounouchi's ever played? At least the flashbacks haven't taken over the episode as badly as they did three episodes ago...
- I swear, Mariku looked exactly like his Yami for a second! His eyes were all slanted, his hair was blowing in the wind, and from the angle they drew it, he looked strangely Yami- Marikuish. Hmm...
- Dratted dubbers, they ruined Seto's greatest moment! He was supposed to draw a card randomly to throw at the rare hunter, pick it up and look at it later, and say: "Heh, I'm such a good drawer". - They cut out a scene in which Seto beat up the rare hunter, too...
- AND, they cut out the line, "Jounouchi, I love you"!
Hurry up and - Shizuka wouldn't have been able to catch up to Jounouchi underwater. He was already quite a ways down, and was being pulled by an anchor. Unless she's superhuman, she wouldn't have been able to catch him, especially with his long head start. Ah, well... that's unrealisitic anime for you.
- On the subject of realism, it would have been extremely bad for Shizuka to take off her bandages in bright light. After your eyes have been closed for so long, you're supposed to adjust them gradually by opening them in the dark first...
- Grr, they killed this episode very badly! Shame on the dubbers.
- Has anyone else seen those anti-drug stickers they're handing out everywhere? Apparantly, the Yu-Gi-Oh cast isn't on drugs after all ^_^. Yami Yuugi's anti-drug is honor, Pegasus's is power, Seto Kaiba's is winning, and Jounouchi's is 'my sister'. I like Pegasus's best.
- Next new episode is Yami Bakura vs. Bonez! Seena will want to rant on it, I think... After that is the Mai vs. Magnum duel, and then, finally, the Battle City finals. Yay!

If, for some reason, the guestbook isn’t working, please send your review to Seena or Queen of Games. (We'll forward them to Indigo, too). Now, you have two whole weeks to review! Make them great and inspirational! ^_^
