Seena: Well... I guess I did pretty well, or so says the general public! At least you guys don’t hate me, which amounts to the same thing. ^_^ This is my last rant for awhile, actually... Queen of Games is going to be taking over, starting next rant - I have a really long family vacation to go on that lasts all of July. Oh, and Queen of Games also helped a lot this week, too! Her rants for the “Master of Magicians” episodes are right after mine. It’s not all me, you know. ^_^ Credit and kudos to her first rants!

Seth: *sighs impatiently* Honestly... how many times must this be spelt out for you? Indigo, Queen of Games, and Seena don’t own Yu-Gi-Oh!. By Ra... I’ll put this as simply as I can. Now, follow the logic...

Statement 1: Kazuki Takahashi owns Yu-Gi-Oh!.
Statement 2: Indigo, Queen of Games, and Seena are not Kazuki Takahashi.
Statement 3: Therefore, Indigo, Queen of Games, and Seena do not own Yu-Gi-Oh!.

If you can’t understand who owns Yu-Gi-Oh! and who doesn’t by NOW, then you’re FAR past hopeless...

Yeah... go figure. Maybe it’s just his yami that likes occult stuff, I don’t know... but I was under the impression that Bakura wasn’t SCARED of it, at least! With his yami around, I’m surprised a skeleton would freak him out.
Ah, it’s okay. *grins* You don’t even have to worry about ranting for now. There’s not much to say about that episode, anyway! But it’ll be fun to watch the dubbed episodes and laugh your head off later.

Kirbygurl: Oh no, it was in the original... it wasn’t quite as boring, though. Not that that says much. ^_^ But this Jounouchi vs. Yuugi battle is fun!
Heh, poor Kaiba... but I think eventually, he starts to believe it. I think he denies it so much because it’s just kind of... incomprehensible to him. And maybe because he doesn’t like thinking of Yuugi as a king. ^_^
Ah, yes... friendship. Yes, it’s a major theme in the show; yes, it’s important... but for the love of Ra, please shut up... *sighs* Friendship was a main theme in the original too, but the dubbers have exaggerated it so much it isn’t even funny... heck, lately, Yami Yuugi’s been ranting about friendship more than Anzu...
Huh... you take Mind Crushes so lightly... *shakes her head* It might be useful sometimes for some people, but Yami Yuugi... he’s no judge of people’s sanity. Who’s he to decided things like that? People have a reason for things they do... if anyone should judge, it should be Shadi and Senui with the Scales. It’s not a power that should be taken lightly... it’s so painful, and not completely reversible - though it’s possible to recover from, you’re never the same as you were before. I don’t think that ANYONE deserves that kind of suffering...

Otaku/Cho/Steen: Oh, you think so? ^_^ Yay! I tried! I still say I’m nowhere as great as Indigo is, though. She’s the best! This is actually WAY harder and much more time-consuming than I thought it’d be...
*laughs* Oh, I can just see it! Yami Yuugi trying to figure out who the Tooth Fairy is, and his aibou trying to explain it to him...
Yuugi: Err, well... when someone loses a tooth, they put it under their pillow, and the Tooth Fairy is supposed to take the tooth and leave behind money or a gift.
Yami Yuugi: *confused* But why would this... fairy want people’s teeth? What does it do with them? And where does it get the money?
Yuugi: *blinks and shrugs slowly* Umm... well, I’m not sure...
Yami Yuugi: *narrows his eyes* So this fairy could be taking your teeth and selling them for illegal items? Or using them for evil magic spells to try and take over the world...? Yuugi, could this fairy be working for Mariku!?

Sorry, the Pharaoh’s so much fun to pick on. ^_^ The thing is, I could really see him saying that! Heh, it might go well in a humour fic...

Heh, I saw that episode at least a few times, and I didn’t notice the pentacon slash until I saw it last time, either. But this was the first time I was actually looking for things to rant about, so I guess that’s part of it!

Bleh, yeah... evil flashbacks. How boring! We’ve already seen what happened once, and KidsWB shows reruns all the time, and the flashbacks weren’t even from a long time ago! Oh well...

Hmm... Doppleganger, I think it was called! Though I’m not sure if I’m spelling it right; I’m horrible when it comes to that...
Bleh, I know! Evil, sick, twisted Road Trip... Hey, and guess what? Black Magician really DOES have a voice! Eee! ^_^ During part of the Noa arc, the Big 5 take over Honda’s body, and Jounouchi and Yami Yuugi Duel them. Yami Yuugi plays his Black Magician, and Jounouchi turns it into a warrior type with a magic card so he can power it up, and when the Black Magician attacks, he says this kind of spell thing as he concentrates magic into his sword (not in English or Japanese, so I don’t understand any of it... ^_^). It’s really cool... and he doesn’t have some stupid high-pitched voice, either! It was lower and more powerful. Mahaado’s voice! ^_^ Black Magician Girl talks to Anzu, too, at one point.
Heh, you’re probably right about that. There’s really only one commercial break in the original, and it’s not for THAT long... not near as long as the commercial breaks that KidsWB has!
...Yeah, that’s true! Hmm, it was probably... one of the other priests from the past, then? Let’s see. This is after Kaiba’s rebellion... So far, the Eye-holder, Akunadein, is... well, dead. And Mahaado, the Ring’s first bearer is sealed. And it was definitely a guy, so that rules out Aishisu, the Tauk’s holder. And it’s not Simon, or Kaiba himself. So if it’s a priest, it’s Shaadi or Karimu... (Ankh or Scales)
*laughs* I know what you mean! It’s like, “they kept us waiting two weeks for THAT”? Since I’ve seen the originals, I knew what was coming up, but still... it’s disappointing!

Oh, but I do like Pegasus, too! He’s very cool, I completely agree. Yeah... Anzu’s fine, but Téa bugs me. A lot. *shudders* But that’s really the dubber’s fault!
Yeah, I know! And she wears her hair down, and looks pretty cute. ^_^ I’ve seen a few pictures from the fifth season, including quite a few where she’s riding a horse. I don’t hate Rebecca, honest!

Malik Ishtar: Oh, it’s all right! Don’t worry about it. ^_^ Hmm, let’s see... If you include the Japanese “first season” of Yu-Gi-Oh!, then that would make OUR season 1 their season 2... so the original opening theme song would be “Voice” by “CLOUD” (for the Duelist Kingdom Saga). However, the original season 1 never aired in the United States, and is kind of in an alternate universe from the rest of the seasons, so if you don’t include it, the opening theme (for Battle City) is “Shuffle” by Okui Masami. If you go here, you’ll find the opening themes to watch, and if you go here, you’ll find the full versions of all of the songs. The website isn’t all in English, though, so you have to look for it a bit. Yeah... ^_^ Much creepiness and coolness! I think he’s my... fifth favourite. After Yami Bakura, Mariku, Shadi, and Rishid. (I don’t know, I have this thing for cool egyptians. ^_^)
*laughs* It would have been so funny if the arrows DID lead him away like that!
I know! *sighs* How sad... people aren’t just “good” or “evil”... but maybe they’re just trying to make Yami Yuugi more “right” for what he’s doing? Oh, the dubbers are always over-dramatizing things. I mean, Yami Yuugi (and Kaiba, but especially Yami Yuugi) has enough ego on his own... but with the dub, gosh, every little thing is like the end of the world!
Heehee, Yuugi messing up putting the Puzzle together? I could see Yami Yuugi’s spirit form in his mind getting messed up, too, so he has his arms growing out of his back or at least his hair getting messed up.
Yeep, Yami Yuugi’s Mind Crushing his own friends? But they do act that demented sometimes... ^_^
Wow, I thought there were a lot more pro-Yami Yuugi people! You’re not the only one who seems to have a strong dislike of the Pharaoh. I don’t like him either... ESPECIALLY in the dub. He’s not as bad in the original, though that doesn’t say much. Oh, Isis IS in Japan. That’s just the dubbers being evil, and trying to convince us that Yuugiou’s happening in the United States. *laughs* Yeah, I know! Gosh, that Pharaoh needs to get over himself... In the manga, it took Yami Bakura stepping on Yami Yuugi’s father’s mummy to get him to walk. ^_^

Harmony Bakura: *blinks* Um... ^_^ I don’t know about drooling over them, but most of the “villains” of Yu-Gi-Oh! ARE really cool! Gosh, I could never make a real rabid fangirl... I don’t drool enough. I do “eee” and squeal sometimes, though! ^_^

Crossover Authoress: Oh, don’t worry about being late! I’ve been late myself, and disorganized to boot. ^_^ Bleh, real life IS annoying sometimes... always getting in the way of everything! ^_^

I know! Hmm... I don’t know if you know all this already, but in the sixth and seventh mangas during the “Monster World” arc (Monster World was a tabletop RPG played by Yami Bakura and Yuugi’s friends; Bakura sealed their souls into dolls and stuff, and they roll dice. It was pretty cool!), Yami Bakura’s boss that he was tied to was named “Zork”. Coincidence? Can’t be! ^_^ But I DO wonder what the deal with Zork is... hmm, I haven’t actually read the manga, so I don’t know what the Zork Yami Bakura bowed to’s name looked like... err, or what he himself looks like ^_^, but in Monster World, Zork’s name is spelled “Zouku”, though it’s written “Zork” in English, so I guess that’s the official spelling.
Bleh, I have no time and I’m lazy. ^_^ I’m doing them because Indigo asked me too, and I promised her I would.
Eee, I finished watching my DVDs of the Noa saga! Yay! Now they’re just about to start the Jounouchi vs. Yami Bakura Duel... my DVD stops there. I can’t wait for the next one to come out. ^_^ Hmm... that’s the tenth DVD, right? *laughs* Yeah, the subtitles call Kuribou “Little Fluff”! ^_^

Hmm... you know, I’m not sure how to spell “Ka(a)”. In Egypt, it was spelled with just one ‘a’, but in the manga, it’s spelled with two (because that’s how it’s pronounced). So I’m debating. ^_^
Heh, forgive my previous rant. I’m a little... I don’t know, passionate about the subject of Mariku’s evilness, and I didn’t mean to snap or something at you, so sorry if I came off wrong. ^_^ Yeah... they ARE different. Poor Mariku just wanted to live free like everyone else, and become Pharaoh so he and his family and everyone wouldn’t have to suffer under Yami Yuugi’s reign anymore. I really respect and admire him. ^_^ That’s a good question... I think it’s because Yami Mariku wants to kill everyone, and Yami Bakura doesn’t want that to happen, and because Yami Mariku has the Sennen Rod that Mariku promised him.
Yeah, I know what you mean! Heck, with KidsWB stressing friendship in everyone’s rants and everything, you’d think they’d be glad that Yami Bakura really does want to help Yuugi! Yami Bakura is probably my favourite character - either him or Mariku - and it makes me angry when the dub tries to make everyone either all good or all bad. Mariku’s already supposed to have explained some of his motives by now... I’m wondering if they’re even going to leave what happened IN the dubbed version.
Hmm... well, the Black Magician is the Sennen Ring’s original holder, the priest Mahaado. I think Mahaado’s Ka was already sealed as a Duel Monster by the time the Kaiba’s past life rebelled, though... Well, Magician of Black Chaos comes back in the Noa saga (when Noa’s Dueling Yuugi), and Black Magician will be back way sooner than that! ^_^ But you’re right, it HAS been a long time without him!

Yeah... I was really surprised at what Yami Yuugi did, too! Funny how badly Osiris hurt Bakura, when Ra... I mean, Yami Yuugi didn’t even have to go to the hospital wing or anything. I wonder how much the dub edited and exaggerated it all, though? It’ll probably be awhile before we find out in the United States... Was the bit about the memory and the hourglass still in it, or did the dubbers cut that out?

I know! The poor Kuru•Erunians! They had to sacrifice ninety-nine people from Bakura’s town to create the materials necessary for the Sennen Items... and bleh, I say there’s no need for that! There’s OTHER ways to do things. I completely agree... and I’ll be right there with you to whack Yami Yuugi if/when he says that.
Yeah, Anzu’s originally much cooler! And she’s not so bad in the manga, either... whacking out peoples’ teeth... ^_^ Oh, I can’t STAND some of the horrible dub’s voice actors. They completely butchered Mariku’s voice, and Weevil’s, and Jounouchi’s, and... well, just about everybody else’s, too! I hate when they edit things like that, too... especially the villains, because no one’s purely evil (except for Yami Mariku, but that’s because he’s pure negativity. Heh, the dubbers will probably try to make him NICER, since he might be too scary! ^_^).

Ah, I finally finished the Noa saga last week. Yay! Yeah, he died... *looks sad* He was growing on me. I have a thing for little kids... well, they weren’t really stuck; Gozabura put his son’s mind in there on purpose (and he did the same with his own, later...) Yeah... it’ll take KidsWB AGES to get to the Noa arc... *blinks* No, he’s definitely a kid! Maybe ten years old... his mind is Kaiba’s age, but his body died as a child - he was hit by a car. Noa’s hair is... teal-ish, I guess! And he has blue eyes. Kaiba’s hair was bright green in season one, and he had hazel eyes... maybe that’s what you’re thinking of? I think I have a picture or two of Noa floating around; do you want me to send you them?
Well, in Canada, the dubbers have already gotten up to the Mai vs. Yami Mariku Duel in the first round of the Battle City finals! I’ve seen the original version of the show up to right before the start of the Jounouchi vs. Yami Mariku Duel (the first round of the semifinals; the Noa arc takes place between the first round and the semifinals), so I generally know what people are talking about, though I haven’t seen the dub. In the first rounds, the matches take place on top of Kaiba’s Battleship, a really big, cool blimp. ^_^ There’s a referee watching, and he’s almost completely stolid through everything happening around him, God Cards and people losing their minds and everything...
Bleh, there’s always editing where the dubbers are concerned... hmm, well I guess you could say that Mariku’s doing the wrong things for the right reasons... I personally agree with him on a lot of things. However, He’s against the protagonist, so he’s automatically “evil”... Mariku originally already explained quite a few things through Pandora after their Duel, and I think just about all, if not everything, was emitted from that scene... that was like a five-minute cut!

Hmm... well, it wasn’t exactly KAIBA’S motorcycle - it was a motorcycle in Noa’s virtual world - but I’ll bet by the way he was driving that it wasn’t his first time on one. (He jumped over a huge gap in the road! ...And then crashed, but that’s because he had to stop too quickly since one of the Big 5 came up out of nowhere and blocked his path. ^_^ But it was SO cool! Eee!) I think Mai has a motorcycle, too! And I think Otogi has a car, but I’m not sure about that one.
...I don’t know Yami’s exact age, but he wasn’t very old. Younger than twenty, I think. He lived the high life when he was alive, though! And he’s still hanging around now, so that makes up for his semi-short life... I mean, back then, the age expectancy was maybe forty or fifty if you were really lucky. ^_^
Oh, I like Kaiba’s past life a lot, too! He’s cool. But the whole thing really freaked Kaiba out, and he hadn’t won the Duel at that point anyway, so I guess Kaiba didn’t like him. ^_^
Oh, therapy! There’s this really funny part in the subtitling after the Yami Bakura vs. Yami Yuugi Duel, where after Yami Bakura saves Ryou and loses the Duel, Ryou gets his body back and faints from blood loss and Shizuka says, “Oh! His arm’s bleeding! He needs therapy!” *laughs* They meant physical therapy, I think, but that strikes me as really funny. Bakura’s bleeding, he needs therapy! Both are probably true, but they’re different subjects altogether. ^_^
Who ISN’T annoyed?! It’s all Yami Yuugi’s talked about for a good five or six episodes straight! Yeah... at least the “villains” don’t rant about friendship all the time... though the dub does exaggerate it.

Marik’s little sister (not Isis): Really? Gosh, I’m usually bad at humour. I’m glad you liked it, though! You think Isis’ hair is funny? I dressed up as her for Halloween last year, and it wasn’t that hard to do her hair (and for me, that says something, because I have trouble putting it up in a ponytail half the time). Kitty-san...? Um, okay! ^_^ I don’t think Mariku’s a bad person, either. I like him and respect him a lot... I’m not sure what Queen of Games thinks, but I know Indigo likes him too. His yami does scare me, though!

mike: Umm... yeah! Yu-Gi-Oh! is my favourite show; I like it a lot, too.

sakuya: Bleh, the evil dubbers... editing out inappropriate stuff is one thing - I mean, I don’t like it, but it doesn’t bother me unless it’s a pointless edit - but when they change things like THAT, it just completely ticks me off... *sighs* It’s not like anything can be done about it, though!
Yeah, I know! And Pegasus is really so great and cool, too! Heh... you’re not the first person to have noticed that! A lot of people picked up on the Gorgan’s Eye thing... *shrugs* I guess Yami Yuugi had to win SOMEHOW, and he couldn’t beat Pegasus fair and square. That’s what happens - although Yami Yuugi “Duels with honour”, he almost always has help of some kind, or interference, or just tricks them outright. And then there’s things like this whole Gorgan’s eye situation... bleh. You’re right, Pegasus should have won - and so should have Yami Bakura, Mariku-through-Pandora (Arkana), probably Mariku-through-Silent-Doll (Strings), and a lot of times in Duels to come. I sometimes wonder if the whole “heart of the cards” thing is legal; it gives Yami Yuugi a really huge advantage. But, being the almighty Pharaoh/King of Games, he can never lose, so... *sighs* Pegasus using his Item to Duel isn’t cheating any more than Yuugi using his... bleh, cheater Yami Yuugi!

Fire Pendant: Oh, I’m glad you think so! ^_^ I did the best I could. And it seems that no one completely loathes me, so I’m happy. Yeah... this Duel is actually pretty interesting. I can’t wait to see how much the dubbers mess this Duel up, though... heh, I know what you mean; my mom’s the same way sometimes. ^_^
