Author’s Notes:
Seena: Um, hi! *smiles nervously* I’m really sorry about not updating last week (and thank you for doing so, Indigo! I already sent you an apology and full explanation, right...?) To make a long story short... we’ve been disorganized. ^_^ Queen of Games has been on vacation this past week, so all of the rants are mine... I hope you like them! I’m very nervous about this whole thing; I’ve never ranted before, and I hope I do a good job for you guys! I’d appreciate if you told me how I did in your reviews, so I know what to change and do better in the future. I know I’ll never be as great as Indigo, but I’ll do my best!

Mokuba: Indigo, Queen of Games, and Seena don’t own Yu-Gi-Oh!, though I’ll bet my big brother could buy it if he wanted! Though I’m not exactly sure WHY he’d want it...

Rantings of a Rabid Yu-Gi-Oh Fan: 32

Nano Mecka: Yay, Indigo gets to go to Japan! She IS lucky... heh, I envy her. Wish I could go, too! Hmm... is it cheaper to go to Japan from Hawaii than it is from the mainland of the United States?
YTV? Bleh, I don’t have that where I live (though Queen of Games might, I don’t know). But wow, that’s great! Eh? The dubbers got a semi-decent, maybe even GOOD voice for once?! Well, it probably isn’t as great as his original voice, but we’ll just have to see for ourselves... if KidsWB EVER decides to play more than one new episode per month. I’ll look for audio clips of his dubbed voice, though!
No kidding! It was so... fake, and stupid, and... *shudders* Just... eww. Yeah, I wish they’d show the new episode faster too! They’re trying to milk it for all it’s worth, methinks... but this way, they’re going to lose a lot of their audience, since they’re going so slow!
Eee, me too! It’s confusing, of course... but very interesting! I own up to episode 120, I think... the end of the Battle City saga. I haven’t had time to watch it all yet, though! ^_^ Yeah, I’ve been reading... gosh, Yami Bakura seems to be getting eviler and eviler in the memories, no? It seems he killed Yami Yuugi, though, which is pretty cool.

Fire Pendant: *nods* Indigo IS really nice! ^_^ And cunning, for persuading me to do her rants for her, because I didn’t want to and I wasn’t going to originally.
Hmm, I haven’t read the weekly Shonen Jump (though I’ve read the summaries of the recent stuff!), but I’ve seen the original version of the anime. And believe me, the dub exaggerates everything. The ‘heart of the cards’ stuff still exists, and Anzu talks about friendship sometimes too (though her few rants are much cooler, really)... but it’s nothing near what the dub is like at all.
*rubs the back of her head* I haven’t... exactly finished watching the Noa saga yet, though I have it. My friend’s borrowing my DVDs right now, but from what I know of it, Noa Kaiba is Seto’s dead stepbrother - Gozabura Kaiba’s original son. He was a very smart little boy, though he died at a young age... Gozabura needed an heir, someone like his son - so he adopted Kaiba (and Mokuba, since Kaiba wouldn’t leave without him. I’m sure you can find a summary of how the the whole thing happened on a Kaiba shrine somewhere). Somehow though, his memory was sealed into a computer program... I don’t know all of the details or anything yet, sorry... but I’ll find out within a couple of weeks, if not earlier. ^_^

Lori Kimaya: Ah, your image of a perfect world sounds great! ^_^ Hmm... well, I have a taped version of the DVDs, but that’s only because they’re kind of bootlegged. *laughs* But as far as I’ve seen, no, they don’t... bleh to that!
Wow, much lateness of the postal services! I got my June edition sometime late April. ^_^ I guess we balance each other out?
Hmm... I think so. Mariku’s ancestors probably guarded ALL of the Pharaohs’ tombs... I’d think Shadi’s family would have, too, but I don’t really know. He’s a guardian of the Items, so I’d think that includes protecting the royal tombs, too. Though some of the Sennen Items weren’t stored in Yami Yuugi’s tomb... or if they were, they were later moved to the tablet in the underground Kuru•Erunan temple (where Shadi gave Pegasus his Sennen Eye).
Bleh, I know! It’s so stupid... I was raised religiously, too. I think if the original version was broadcasted to young children here, then maybe I could understand what they vaguely meant (because the original version isn’t a children’s show; it was meant for teens). But I honestly don’t understand people like that! It’s just a lot of fear and anger, like you said... how people react illogically when they don’t understand something. It’s sad, really, that people can be that way...
Well, Miho didn’t exist except for that little bit of the manga! Season 1 of Yu-Gi-Oh! is actually like a separate, alternate dimension of Season 2 and on (Actually fully titled “Yu-Gi-Oh: Duel Monsters”). Miho was just sort of created for that season, I guess... it was up to the animators! Miho’s very popular and upbeat, from what I know of her... not that I know that much, of course! ^_^
Oh, thank Ra that KidsWB doesn’t have a dueling system! Heh, and just when we all thought that the commercials couldn’t get any worse... heh, yay! Torch the possessed socks! We could have a bonfire burning the talking sock and recordings of the dubbed ‘Merrick’s’ voice. How fun! Yay, and new episodes! They’ve been coming out with them so slowly...
Hmm... well, I wasn’t there with Indigo or anything, but I guess it was more just a set of scales for decoration, not meant to weigh anything. Like it didn’t have a pivot point inside? Heh, but soon Indigo WILL have a working set of Scales... *grins slyly* ...Oh, I have an Ankh necklace! I haven’t seen any earrings, though...
I know what you mean! “Ishizu” is really pretty close to how Isis’ name is pronounced, so I can almost forgive them for that (though ‘Isis’ is such a cool name! I guess they’re afraid that they’ll start converting children to the ancient Egyptian mythology? *snickers*), but “Odion” and “Arkana” are just so ridiculous! Oh well... *sighs*

Lady Kalan Kaiba of Conte: Yay! I’m glad you’re not dead. If you were and you were still writing, I’d start to wonder... ^_^ I’ve been really busy (I even missed Thursday’s episode! How horrible of me!), and Indigo has been too, so don’t worry about it. We forgive you, of course! ^_^
What!? Really!? Eee, how cool! Yami Mariku... ^_^ He scares me, honestly, but he’s so dark and creepy that he’s really cool too! What’s he like in the dub...? I can only imagine... yay, Noa! He’s cool, but creepy too (though not in the same way as Yami Mariku). Have you seen the original version? Well, Noa’s really more of a little kid, so... maybe he’ll sound more like Mokuba? Then again, after what they did to poor Mariku’s voice, who knows... ah, I wish I lived in Canada now!
Eee, Hungry Burger! I have the real card. You need ‘Hamburger Recipe’ to summon it, right? The first time I saw it, I thought it was pretty funny... but you’re right, if you think about it, it’s kind of scary... the hamburger eats YOU, not vice versa! ^_^
Oh! ...Wow! *studies Priest Karimu* ...You’re so right! They DO look a lot a like... I never noticed before! What a cool theory! And it makes sense with what Mahaado did with his soul... I wonder if anyone’s going to end up as Kuribou (Kuriboh)? Heh, now I can’t wait to see if you’re right!

Setine: Hmm... well, Indigo’s away at camp right now, so Queen of Games and I are doing the rants. This is actually my first time... so I’m sorry that I can’t help you much!

Crossover Authoress: Oh, it’s okay! Everyone’s been busy lately, it seems... ^_^
Yeah, I wonder about the referee, too! I wonder if he’s like a cyborg or a hologram or something...? I mean, he stands there very unemotionally as the people in front of him are screaming about the apocalypse and the battles of good and evil and other freaky things... the poor guy must need a LOT of therapy! I doubt there’s much he CAN do, though...
Yeah, smart Jounouchi! Rishid calls him “Jounouchi-san”, I think, in the original. I don’t know how he figures it out in the dub (we’re... just going to start the Yuugi vs. Mind-Controlled Jounouchi duel here, I think), but in the original version, he figures it out because of Rishid’s mannerism, and how he duels with a purpose and heart, kind of. Hard to describe. ^_^ But the end result is still the same, that Jounouchi figures it out...
Eee, I know! Poor guy... his “dad” hated him so much! Throwing a lighted candle at him and yelling and... *sighs* ...How cute! Did you see the flashback where Chibi Mariku got bit by a snake and stuff, and Rishid was going to stab him and kill him, but then Mariku called him “big brother” and stuff, and he swore his loyalty to Mariku? Or did they cut that out...? Hmm... I can’t read much Egyptian or anything, but I noticed the Ankh symbol (life), and I know it’s something about protection, faith, family, and loyalty.
Hmm... well, you know, Mariku’s not REALLY evil. He’s just got a lot of anger and pain inside of him, and he and his family have suffered for a very long time. Especially since he really experienced the outside world (in what’s got to be the cutest video clip ever created ^_^), he wanted to just live a normal life, and get revenge for his father (whom he believed to be murdered because of the Pharaoh) and eventually become the Pharaoh himself to stop the rest of the world from suffering as he did. He’s really a great, noble person... the dub really makes him all about power, though, and that’s not it at all. Oh, I doubt he’ll ever really turn... “good”, though he does end up giving Yami Yuugi the Sennen Rod (and the Ring since his yami won that from Yami Bakura earlier) after Yami Yuugi wins their duel (in which Mariku actually surrenders, because he somehow gets his body back, and he wants his yami to be stopped no matter what). Bleh, but I’d better shut up before I REALLY start ranting... ^_^
*shudders* I know! What a jerk he was... but I guess he didn’t accept Rishid because he wasn’t of his own flesh and blood. Though that’s not a good reason at all! Baka Ishtar no tou-san...
Yeah... well, if they were THAT annoyed, I doubt that they’d be dubbing! I mean, I for one wouldn’t stand for some of the changes that they’ve been making, so I couldn’t be a dubber. I’d be TOO disgusted. ^_^ But I guess it could be worse... if only by a little. *laughs*

Seena: ...Umm... and now my rants! Oh, and I ask for forgiveness in advance; I missed Thursday’s episode this week (our school went on a field trip and we didn’t get back until very late), but other than that... enjoy!

-Wow, is Yuugi gullible... falling for the fortunetelling thing!

-Heh, I didn’t see many arrows in the alleyway at first, when Yuugi first went in...

-How did Yuugi know the arrows weren’t leading him AWAY from the thief?

-What Yami Bakura says in the dub is quite a bit different than what he says in the original, after he runs into Anzu. Originally, Yami Bakura was really concerned for the Puzzle... and a bit annoyed at Yuugi for losing it. ^_^ He really said it was a bad omen for the future... and more importantly, that YUUGI needed to be the owner of the Sennen Puzzle, and that an enemy of Yuugi’s was an enemy of his. He wasn’t thinking about getting the Puzzle’s power at all!

-Heehee, I can picture Yuugi as “a rat in a maze”...

-Since when has Mariku had the ability to “foresee your [Yuugi’s] future?” That’s the Tauk’s power...

-Well, Yuugi... most people really don’t know all about their opponents before they face them, nor do they have an all-powerful Pharaoh’s spirit “helping” *coughcoughduelingforhimcoughcough* or a bunch of friends cheering them on...

-Mariku’s got a cool boat... and pretty sails with the Eye of Horus on them!

-Bandit Keith is very ungrateful to Mariku for saving his life, don’t you think? The least he could do is serve his wishes a little!

-Bleh, Honda’s such a liar! He lies to his “coach”, and he lies to Shizuka, too... what an untrustworthy guy! Even if he thinks he has good motives...

-Hmm... looking back to when Yuugi’s friends went into the alley, it looks like Bandit Keith kicked the fortunetelling table and ran without knocking over the stool he was sitting on. That’s impressive!

-As if Mariku/Bandit Keith would play the Zera Ritual card in the first place without the monster card, Yuugi?

-Hmm... is the shadow energy around the warehouse visible to normal people, do you think?

-“Unleash the wrath” of a counter-trap like Magic Jammer, Mariku? That’s a little bit of a strong phrase for a card used in retaliation...

-Ooh, Yami Bakura’s Sennen Ring made the shadow energy go awaaaay...

-You know... Mariku’s mind-control really isn’t as painful as they make it seem... people are just being dramatic in the dub!

-“Maybe this time it’ll be easier” to complete the Puzzle...? No kidding; it only took Yuugi like five minutes, if that...

-Hmm... heh, in the original, Yami Bakura wasn’t calling Yuugi a “naïve fool” at all. He actually was saying how he admired his innocence for not knowing about the dark power in the Sennen Puzzle.

-I wonder, didn’t it ever occur to Keith that maybe if he just cooperated with Mariku, it might not be so hard for him?

-...And no one in any of the nearby buildings and houses notices the fire and come to help...

-Honda apparently never learned fire safety! (Or common sense...) Touching a hot metal door handle with a blazing fire behind it?

-And Honda and Jounouchi run ito a blazing fire without even thinking...

-Yuugi’s deck doesn’t get burned or charred at all? I wonder if it’s fireproof or something. ^_^

-For such a weak and tired guy, Yuugi’s grip on the Sennen Puzzle sure was strong!

-The Puzzle didn’t get warm at all from the blazing inferno around them? “Special metal”... no kidding!

-Hey, if you’re going by Life Point values, Mariku/Bandit Keith won the that Duel... the final score was 250/100!

-Eee! In the original version, Yami Bakura actually mentions Kuru•Eruna - his original home over 3000 years ago in ancient Egypt - and the slab containing the Sennen Items there in an underground temple (you know, that place where Shadi gave Pegasus the Eye). Heh, and he also says that Yami Yuugi SACRIFICES himself and the priests...

-I wonder if Yami Bakura will do a better job finding Yami Yuugi’s real memories than Shadi did? (Who actually did find it, but Yami Yuugi tricked him - and smirked smugly as poor Shadi almost died...)

-Anzu wasn’t really worried about Yuugi so much... as she was thinking about Yami Yuugi... ^_^

-Hey, they took off the plane’s identification! The airline Isis was on was really called “EGYPT AIR”. The plane was marked, and so were the boxes with the artifacts... it was in English, too, so I have no clue why the dubbers took it out.

-Wow, Yuugi must REALLY be out of it to ignore Anzu... ^_^

-I wonder why hasn’t Mokuba changed his clothes yet? They’ve been home for awhile...

-Wow, how many different kinds of limos does Kaiba have? That black one now, and that pinkish one he had in the first episode... maybe he has one for every day of the week? Or different times of the day? ^_^

-Hmm, I wonder what Anzu was writing in real life when she was at her desk, before she fell asleep?

-Originally, Yami Yuugi was completely silent in Anzu’s dream... it was really more dramatic that way!

- “In all of my [Yami Yuugi’s] years”? *blinks and giggles* He wasn’t even CONSCIOUS for most of the time he was in the Puzzle, and he doesn’t even remember his NAME from Egypt... that gives him what, a few months’ time of real memories?

-Who do you think the Pharaoh’s “loyal minion” is? I think it’s Jounouchi... it explains his present-day rivalry with Kaiba.

-Yami Yuugi was too lazy to fight his own faithful High Priest on his own? He just sat there and watched almost like it was a television program or something... ^_^ I guess he’s pretty easygoing about the fate of the world?

-Heh, FINALLY Kaiba got the Pharaoh to get out of his seat when he summoned the Blue-Eyes White Dragon! He must be proud of himself, for actually getting the almighty Pharaoh to STAND...

-Eee, Seto’s past life is so cool! ^_^

-Wow, the Kaiba Corporation building is the tallest skyscraper in the entire city...

-Why did Ghost Kotsuzuka (Bonez) call “Call of the Haunted” a magic card?

-...He called “Stop Defense” a trap card, too!

-Heh, I’m surprised the dubbers didn’t edit it... Garoozis cut a pentacon in the Clown Zombie.

-You’d think that Bakura would be more used to scary, morbid-ish things... between his yami, his father’s job, and his occult deck...

-Heh, I like Pegasus’ sense of humour!

- ^_^ Ghost Kotsuzuka is luckier than Jounouchi!

-Heh, Honda’s beaten so easily by Bandit Keith’s toadies... And later, before Yami Bakura defeats Ghost Kotsuzuka in the Battle City tournament, he completely trounces them like they’re nothing. I wonder what that says about Honda... ^_^

-Why does Pegasus have a random graveyard arena, anyway? And how did Bandit Keith find it?

-...And if all of the arenas are modeled after the territory of the island, then the real graveyard must be nearby... Pegasus owns the island, so do you think that the arena might be a model of the graveyard his wife Cynthia (Cecilia in the dub) is buried in...?

-Anzu calls Ghost Kotsuzuka a “little Ghoul”! ^_^

-Friendship is stronger than the Sennen Items’ power? So then, why did the Pharaohs and priests have to sacrifice themselves a few thousand years ago, and why were the items ever invented if friendship was stronger? I mean, in theory... since friendship is stronger than the Items’ power, couldn’t a large amount of friendship have sealed away the “dark and evil power threatening to consume the world” just as well - if not better - than the Sennen Items did? And that way, there wouldn’t have been so much pain and sacrifice at Kuru•Eruna... so many problems would have been solved!

-Wow, Jounouchi looked really dark and evil when he started yelling at Pegasus... kinda scared me for a second. ^_^

-...Wouldn’t it be really ironic and funny if Yuugi’s final card wasn’t any help at all? What if it was like a counter-trap or something, like Seven Tools of the Bandit or something? Or if Yami Yuugi didn’t have the Magician of Black Chaos in his hand?

-The Magician of Black Chaos wears a lot of leather... I swear, each time I see him and Yami Yuugi, they look more and more alike!

-Anzu looked so fierce and cool holding Yuugi! Aww... she looked like his protective mom or big sister or something. ^_^

-Pegasus is Relinquished’s “Daddy”? *snickers*

-And no one noticed or cared how sad - no, utterly devastated - Pegasus was? Aww...

-Pegasus is a “slippery, double-crossing snake”, Honda? Bleh, how hypocritical... Honda double-crossed Yami Bakura after saying how he “owed him” for saving his life!

-Hey, they actually thought of Bakura before they left this time! (Or at least, Anzu did.) Yay! Half the time they completely forget about his existence, the poor guy...

-“Jo-ey-oh!”? *laughs* SOMEONE’S ego sure has grown! ^_^

-NOOOOOOO!!!!! Not more Road Trip stuff next week! Why won’t it DIE!?

-Heehee, Kaiba’s so rich that he can shut down the entire city for a few days... he even has the police backing him up!

-The Puzzle and the Rod are very different! They’re really not “much like” each other at all...

-Hey, Mokuba’s not Kaiba’s “baby brother”! Little brother, yes, but Mokuba’s ten years old!

-Heh, Kaiba’s in denial about the whole magic thing...

-It’s a conspiracy! Everyone’s ganging up on Kaiba and lying to him! ^_^

-The way Yami Yuugi says it, I’m not surprised that Kaiba doesn’t believe him... It probably sounds like Yuugi’s crazy and he’s just blowing hot air to make himself seem important or something to Kaiba!

-Yeah, stop corrupting Mokuba, Yami Yuugi! At this rate, the kid’s going to be traumatized for life...

-Aww, Mokuba looks so confused and utterly bewildered by all of this...

-Heh, I’ll bet Yami Yuugi doesn’t even know who the tooth fairy IS... but I wouldn’t put it past Yuugi to still believe it! He’s so innocent and naïve sometimes...

-...Has Yami Yuugi even ever used the Red-Eyes Black Dragon he got from Jounouchi? ^_^

-Hey, Mariku isn’t a “madman”! Yami Yuugi won’t even listen to Mariku’s side of the story (not to mention, the dub has cut out just about everything thus far explaining his motives)... bleh, the Pharaoh is far too judgmental.

-Yeah, I’m sure Kaiba wishes Yami Yuugi would just shut up about his friends... I know he’s worried, but thinking about it from Kaiba’s point of view, I’m pretty sure he’s ready to toss the Pharaoh out the side of the helicopter.

-Wow, there were a LOT of flashbacks this episode... there were more flashbacks than actual new footage!
