Like before, be sure to read what I say to everybody, not just you. You might learn something! And there are a couple random comments mixed in here too.
Anubis: First of all, I'm always up for a good rant. Keep ranting! Okay now...
Why is it that only Seto notices when Yuugi changes? Well, Pegasus certainly
notices. And Tea does too after a while. Now that the "spirit" (I'll try to
stick with their terms mostly) has revealed himself to everyone, HOPEFULLY
everyone will know. But with how slow they are, you never know.
Yes, Yami's pants do seem to connect to his boots. I don't know why. I also
don't know how Yuugi changes his coat into a cape and back again. It certainly
didn't have the sleeves tied around his neck or anything.
I want some characters in the real world too... ^_^
I've heard of the Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon! I built my whole deck in Forbidden
Memories around fusing it. It's my best monster in the game. It's a great
monster, if a bit strange-looking...
And you've got a good point about the Paradox Brothers! If Bandit Keith was
right about being disqualified if you leave the ring, they should've been
disqualified long ago. Keith was talking about running away, not bouncing
around, of course.
I'm not sure about Bakura and his Ring. I think when he was running towards the
castle, they did a little episode-splicing for some reason. But I also think
that when the Ring appears, his Yami comes out, like when they met him in the
woods. So I think he was keeping an eye on what was going on. No one else seems
to notice when they switch unless he does something scary, so why not?
No! Pegasus must NOT die! He's so cute! Be patient, he has his reasons for what
he does. You'll see. And if they don't tell you, I will later.
And I think we all agree that a week is too long to wait between episodes!! It's bad enough having to wait through commercials! The way they just left the Dark Magician stuck in Relinquished with that painful look on his face? I may scream!!

I got my Yu Yu Hakusho wall scroll at the comic shop by my house. It's got all
four of the guys on it on a yellow background with a bunch of orange spheres
around them. It's really bright and cool-looking. I could do without Kuwabara,
but it's got nice big Yuusuke, Kurama, and Hiei, too. Yummy...
You've got a good point about Malik's probably horrible dubbed voice. I think
the best we can hope for is something creepy and insane, like maybe Yami
Bakura's, but higher. I don't know what he really sounds like, but that's what I
imagine they'll give him. If they're nice, which we all know they're not.
Cassandra Cassidy: I'm not sure how big a role Yami Bakura will play in the Battle City episodes, or for that matter, any future episodes. I hope he gets a bigger one too, though!!

Some of you said you liked the theme song. Not to be rude, but let me say I really don't, especially that "d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-duel!" part. But I did watch that really fast part in slow motion the other day, and there are some cool pictures in it.
Caelus: Okay, after I said that all the dragons were ugly, I changed my mind. I like most of them now, even when they beat me mercilessly... And I even think the Blue-Eyes White Dragon looks cool. And the Red Eyes and Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragons and such. I change my mind very easily, especially from disliking to liking things.
Alyssa: Well yes, I do watch the dub. But since I started to become obsessed with it, I had to find out more about it. And the best way to do that is to search for information about the Japanese version. I said I heard Mokuba's dub voice, not his Japanese (or maybe I said sub) voice. To find their voice actors, besides asking you people, I searched for "Yu-Gi-Oh voice actors" on Google.
Yami Vanilla: Oh, you don't want to see what they've done to Bakura in the action figure department. I searched for Yu-Gi-Oh figures on ebay a while ago, and I found a pack of a bunch of little figures of the characters. They got a bunch of colors wrong! Like they gave Bakura dark blue hair. It was terrible.
Lori Kimaya: I can't believe Digimon was cut off either! But the same day I
realized it, I saw a commercial on my WB station that they're showing it at 5:30
in the morning. Too early for me, but it's nice to know it was snapped up. And
Cartoon Network took FOX's old "Ripping Friends" show and is showing that on
Adult Swim. So yeah, FOX Kids is dead.
Shadi doesn't come in until after Yuugi beats Pegasus. I think he'll be in the
episode right after, and then no more. Unless they split it up or something. But
if you look when they show Pegasus's dining room, and a couple other times in
his castle, there's a painting of Shadi next to the one of Cecelia.
Trunks' Saiyajin Princess: Yeah, I think since the dubbers made Bakura British,
they like to place him in the stereotypical "Smart but wimpy British guy" role.
How annoying. Also, Tea and Tristan aren't exactly the smartest of people. They
need somebody to explain things to them.
I don't really know about Yami being evil. I heard about it a long time ago, and
it was pretty vague. It's a long way off in the series, too. So we'll see about
that. I really don't know.
Do not worry about going off-topic. Topics are vastly overrated!
*Sigh* I was all set to write a Yami Bakura/Mokuba fanfic... And then they had to go and tell me he just wanted a new host body. I'm so disappointed!
On to the normal rants that may have something to do with what people said, but I thought of them myself while watching the show!
- How did it take everyone so long to realize that Pegasus was reading minds
with his Sennen Eye? Especially after the duel with Kaiba? And when Pegasus was
telling Yuugi the cards in Yuugi's hand and what he was going to do with them,
why didn't he just change his strategy?
- When Grandpa's voice led Yuugi to his, Seto's, and Mokuba's cards, Seto's voice said "Save me, Yuugi!" I VERY much doubt that Seto would have said something like that.
- If Yuugi didn't know what the Black Luster Ritual was, why was the card in his deck? Did Yami's powers summon it or something?
- How did Honda get into that suit of armor so fast on his way to rescue Mokuba?
- Don't you think Yami Bakura would have liked Seto's body better than Mokuba's?
- After he told Jonouchi in the previous battle not to lay a card down without a way to defend it, why on earth did Yuugi put out the Beaver Warrior unprotected except for that Horn of the Unicorn?
- Did Yuugi really not believe that Pegasus could read minds until they dueled each other a second time? I thought he was a little brighter than that.
- Isn't Pegasus cute when his hair floats around him?
- Is it normal for cards to come off the field and circle around their masters? It was so cute when Doppelganger did that! It's one of my new favorite cards! Has anyone seen any pictures of it around?
- They like to end episodes with Pegasus laughing, don't they?
- While I was bored in history class the other day, I thought of a Yu-Gi-Oh arts and crafts project. Since autumn's on its way, go find a sweetgum tree (the ones that drop those prickly balls). Get a bright red leaf, a big dark purple leaf, and a little yellow leaf. Arrange them the right way and you'll get Yuugi's hair! There are no sweetgum trees around here, but when I go home for Thanksgiving break, I'm gonna try it.
- Is the manipulation of cards one of the Sennen Ring's powers? It can make them real and make people into them. Can any other items do that? Maybe the Puzzle, because Yami managed to switch Bakura and his Yami in and out of the Lady of Faith.
- Just so you know, I never really meant for this to be an informative piece as some of you think, though it's partially that too. If you want good information on the Japanese version, go look in my favorite stories section for "Everything you Ever Wanted to Know about Yu-Gi-Oh!." It's very helpful, If a bit limited.
- Did anyone else notice how Weevil/Insector Haga was blushing when Pegasus got really close to hand him the trophy at the regional championships? Now was that due to the amazing trophy or Pegasus being so close? I know, I'm reaching here. But like all of us, I often see what I want to see. ^_^ Except that they'd make a rather nasty couple, I think. Eew, Weevil...
- Does that high-pitched laugh of Keith's bother anyone else? It's so different from his deep, rough voice. It annoys me quite a bit.
- After Keith's first move when he's dueling Jonouchi, Yuugi thinks "I wonder why he played a machine monster." Is there something strange about playing a machine monster? Why shouldn't he play one?
- And wasn't it nice when they had Bakura say "Great Scott! It's not!" I just love it when dubbers use clichés in a desperate attempt to make a character into what he's not, don't you? Note the heavy sarcasm.
- I wonder how sickened Pegasus was when he read Jonouchi's mind and saw that "happy-face hand circle" thing. I think I would have gagged.
- I think Pegasus should invite Tea to stand next to his chair where Keith threatened him. Then he could drop her into the ocean! Yay!!
- What did you guys think of Yami Bakura's imitation of his aibou? I thought it was a good try, but he needed to relax his vocal cords more. I wouldn't have been fooled. But then, this IS Tea and Jonouchi we're talking about...
- When Mai was dueling Yuugi and he had the Swords of Revealing Light out, why didn't she play the new Harpie Lady card she drew? It would have powered up her Harpie's Pet Dragon enough to win.
- I hope Tea's eye-shines shimmer so much that they pop! (can you tell who I don't like?)
- The Beaver Warrior isn't even a beaver! It's a rat or something. Look at the tail!
- And have you ever seen a more obvious editing-out of a gun than when Pegasus's guards caught up with Bakura, Honda, and Mokuba? No one points like that...
- Pegasus's Manga Ryu-ran has a navel! Things that hatch out of eggs don't have navels.
- Pegasus really loses his cool when he can't read minds, doesn't he? And even more so when his toons are destroyed.
- Can you imagine Seto's reaction if he learned that Bakura's yami tried to steal Mokuba's body? I think Bakura might want to run fast. And Seto might gain a little respect for Honda, too, since he rescued Mokuba.
- If Yami Bakura was in control when Honda knocked him out and threw the Sennen Ring out of the castle, won't he be stuck in control of Bakura's body?
- When Yuugi's head moves up and down when he's breathing hard in the Shadow Realm, his pupils and irises don't move at all!
- When he was dueling Pegasus in the Shadow realm, Yuugi put the Feral Imp in defense mode. What happened to Pegasus's Gorgon's Eye? It should have turned the Imp to stone and deducted some points from Yuugi's life points. Or did he just choose not to activate it? I think the writers made him, because otherwise, he probably would have won.
- Have you noticed how they avoid the words "god" and "goddess" in the dub? Like the God of a Thousand Eyes, or whatever the thing before Relinquished was? Stupid religious taboos...
- Honda can run straight through the bubble of Shadow Realm Pegasus made, but it completely rejects Tea! That's great! What would it do to Jonouchi?
- Can you BELIEVE they just LEFT the Dark Magician stuck in Relinquished for a WHOLE WEEK!?!? I could kill those stupid suspenseful schedulers!! They should have put all 5 Pegasus vs. Yuugi episodes in one day! ^_^
- And after seeing the look in the Dark Magician's eyes when he looked at Yuugi while Relinquished held him, how can anyone doubt that the cards are intelligent beings? And if anyone doubted his absolute yumminess before, they can't now!
I suppose that's all for now. We all know Yuugi's gonna win every duel he gets into. How will everyone react to Yuugi's "spirit"? Will Bakura get a bigger role, or will he be pretty much dropped as a character? Is Seto's body really washing dishes, and with all his money, shouldn't Pegasus have a dish washer for that? Will Pegasus disappear from the series after Yuugi defeats him? Who knows... But review!! Please! If there's anything you want to know, or want to comment on, let me know. Thanks! ^_^
