Scale: Indigo doesn’t own Yu-Gi-Oh, but she’ll get to her DVDs by the time you read this! So go away! Go get your own so you can be delusional enough to say you own Yu-Gi-Oh!
MaidenoftheMoon: You’re right, the duels have been really long lately! The opponents are a bit tougher of course…
Ah, I have my DVDs! I won’t be able to watch them for a while though, because I’ll have to wait until I’m back at school again to see any more than just a few minutes or so…
Seena: I haven’t seen the new Shonen Jump yet, but I’m going to get it on Sunday! Yay! ^_^ Can’t wait to see Miho!
Ew! No! Do not let his greatness and power unfold! First of all, he’s not great! And secondly, he needs no more power!
Ah, I can’t wait to see Mariku as Namu! That should be good! I wonder how the dubbers will handle his voice, though… Because I doubt they’d keep that horrible “evil” voice when he’s being nice.
But the turn before Mariku noticed that he was running out of cards, he still had a nice thick deck. Then when he noticed, it had gone down about an inch or so!
*sighs* If only the Pharaoh WOULD lose for a change…
You know, if Kaiba would believe more things, he might have a chance at the very power he wants so badly…
Heh, the hair battle! ^_^ Yeah, Yuugi probably WOULD win, but I think Honda could give him a hard time of it, at least!
Yay, I DO have my DVDs! I won’t get a chance to watch them for a while, but I have them! Eee! Can’t wait to hear more than two sentences from Mariku… ^_^
Lady Kalan Kaiba of Conte: Ah, where did you get that!? I want those DVDs! Eee! I want to see green-haired Kaiba! And the first Shadi and Bakura and all that cool stuff!
Malik sounds like Valmont…? Not that I heard… I’ll listen more closely next time!
Oh I’ve heard about Gozaburo and Noa… Those… losers! How dare they treat Seto like that!!!
I haven’t seen a Japanese Yu-Gi-Oh episode yet (though I will soon! ^_^), but yeah, I’ve heard that Seto really does call Joey a pathetic dog and stuff like that. Yay Seto!!
I’m glad you like Three-In-One Combo! ^_^ Sure, you can use Ankh and Scale if you give me a nice long review! And is this your FF.N author name? Ooh, let me know when you put them in your story…
Toby KiKami: Heh, well yeah, it DID look a little strange. Most people wouldn’t kiss their cards so lovingly.
Hmm, I don’t think I ever noticed the Axe Raider’s skirt! But you’re right, he does wear one, doesn’t he? Heh heh…
I know, I saw that commercial! Joey has no Gaia the Feirce Knight! He should leave Yuugi’s monsters alone!
Yeah, everyone states the obvious, repeats what was just said, and is way too dramatic… ^_^ I wonder if that’s the dubbers’ fault, or if they’re really like that?
Wingleader Sora Jade: Success!! Yay! ^_^ Do you know how long I’ve been trying to hook a review from you!? Well I don’t either, but it’s got to be a long time! You’re one of those big, famous, cool people! Eee, I feel special now. ^_^
I like the red Dark Magician too. Hmm, but I’ve never heard that he’s the common one! That’s strange!
Thanks! I actually found that voice clip the same day I posted last week’s rant. And the clip with Yuugi eating toast IS cute!
I can’t wait to see the next episodes! And the original versions of them! Eee! ^_^
Actually, I hear they don’t show the knife that cuts Bakura’s arm, even if it IS the Rod. But it’d still be funny! Hmm, they might not mind showing a small bloodstain on Ryou’s sleeve. Although they’re still likely to do something stupid with it…
Yami Mariko: Ah, yeah, my bandwidth is limited. The more people visit, the more that 20 MEG limit is exceeded.
After Yami gets all he needs to regain his memories, he kind of goes into his own soul room into either his own time when he was a Pharaoh, or just a flashback of it. And Bobasa (another guardian, who Shadi apparently sent: look at my picture page to see this scary person) comes with the Ankh and Scales to guide Yuugi and friends into the Pharaoh’s mind and find his true name and all. But he won’t let Bakura come because the Scales sense the “evil” spirit inside him. So Ryou runs off crying, but that’s pointless because Bakura already put part of himself in the Puzzle.
Heh, I like to say hi to the people when they come on the TV. “Eee, hi Malik! Don’t worry, I know you’re not ‘Merrick’!” “Yay, Bakura! Look over there! Isis is right around the corner! No! Over there!” But they rarely listen to me when I give them advice like that. I cheer them on, though. ^_^
StarryNights: I miss Pegasus too… If there weren’t such cool people as Bakura and Malik around, I don’t know what I’d do…
Heh, ignorance is bliss… And in some cases apparently it can save you from losing. Just like in cartoons when they run off a cliff, stop, and don’t fall until they look down.
Eee, I wanna see somebody’s ego spontaneously combust! Whose would be first, I wonder? Probably either Kaiba’s or Yami Yuugi’s. Yami Bakura’s might too. Possibly Malik’s, but he’s more careful with his ego than some.
Yep, you did it right. I do not “PH34R”… ^_^
The Happy Meeper: Ah, sorry. I thought you were a friend of mine. Oh well, I’m still glad you like my rants! ^_^ Many happy meeps to all!
Ayrrie: Well I know the last episode of the dub season is episode 80, with “Magnum the Ninja Master,” who was supposed to marry Mai, though she didn‘t like that idea… But Joey duels him for her. Aww…
Yeah, I’m getting used to Malik’s voice too… But I still wish it weren’t so old and… yeah, nasal. And just… harsh, I think is the word. His Japanese voice is much better.
Well the Silent Doll had to drop his cards when Yami Yuugi told him the flaw in his strategy. To be dramatic, you know.
I have a grin of unholy glee too, but mine’s nowhere near as scary as Malik’s… I just can’t get the right level of evilness and things like that into it.
Hmm, well Honda’s hair is all compacted into one spike, but I wouldn’t count Yuugi’s hair out… That’s a powerful head-topping!
Heh, you’re right, Kaiba DID run from a challenge! And from JOEY’S challenge, no less! It would be shameful if he hadn’t been going after a God Card!
Nameless Person: Get a name, you… nameless… person!
I noticed that Harpie’s Brother looks like Cloud Strife too! Heh, that’s funny. ^_^ I know I’ve seen other similarities between Yu-Gi-Oh and Final Fantasies, but I can’t think of any right now.
Blah… Well, the second episode of Yuugi vs. Silent Doll was a lot more interesting than the first!
Anime*2000: They pronounce Shadi “Shoddy” (ack, poor Shadi!), and Yami is “Yah-mee.” Malik/Mariku SHOULD be “Mah-leek,” I think. Definitely not “Merrick!”
I miss the Dark Magician too! But he’ll be back, I’m sure.
Heh, maybe Shadi DOES look slightly cross-eyed on the reviewing page. ^_^ But he’s still cool.
Amiasha: Shadi IS very helpful! He cares more about the cosmic balance than individual people sometimes, but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t help someone!
Ack, I didn’t know that the blade really hit Pandora… Good thing Yuugi got him out, though!
Aw, Mokuba HAS been especially cute lately. ^_^
I think Yami’s just attached to the others because Yuugi likes them so much. And they support him and all.
What? Episode 148? I haven’t heard about anything that far in the future, in the anime anyway. Who’s coming back then?
Heh, I laughed at that little Yuugi/Yami exchange. I didn’t quite expect that little bit of humor from Yami!
Yep, Kaiba’s power-hungry. And in ancient Egypt, he had the Rod. I’m not quite sure why Malik got it in the present, but I guess only Shadi knows the answer to that…
Nyartal: Ooh, you have a Millennium Ring? Cool! I tried to make a Millennium Ankh out of a coat hanger and duct tape… but it didn’t work. I’m on the lookout for some nice little Ankh and Scales pins to stick on my backpack. ^_^
Ah, it would be HILARIOUS to see everybody doing the “Camelot” song in Pegasus’s castle! Eee, I want to see that! ^_^
What? Are you saying that the Polymerization card isn’t the cool one they show with two dragons flying in a swirly circle? The one Silent Doll used was much more boring… I forget exactly what it looked like, but it wasn’t at all interesting.
Gah, I know! I felt so bad for the Rare Hunter! There was a whole crowd around that duel, and I wonder if ANYONE even stuck around to see if he was all right. People are so mean… I’ll bet some other Ghouls came to get him later, though. I doubt they’d just leave a member with cards and possibly information lying there for anyone to find.
Thanks for the voice clip! I found another clip of the real Malik’s voice, but it’s interesting to compare that to his yami’s voice.
Seashell: Yay, hi again! ^_^ Bleh, I hope you get to see the Yuugi vs. Silent Doll duel soon! It had some very good parts.
Crossover Authoress: I used to watch Tenchi Muyo on Cartoon Network in the afternoon every once in a while last year. I wasn’t too impressed with it, though.
*blinks* Me? I put a Pegasus-muse in your head? Heh, sorry about that. Let him stay around though, maybe you’ll start to like him! ^_^ No thanks, I‘ve got enough muses of my own! Ankhkare and Senui are my full-time muses, and then Shadi and other random people help too. Shadi makes a surprisingly demanding muse… You‘d never think it to look at him!
Aw, Yuugi DOES look kind of like an angry kitten when he glares! ^_^ How cute!
Yeah, I’m pretty sure that Bakura killed the priest who held the Ring… Either that or the priest used up his own life to put his Ka into the Dark Magician tablet.
I don’t think Yami’s tried to mind-crush Malik… Could he do that when Malik’s not right there in front of him? It might just end up crushing Silent Doll’s mind. Especially if Malik saw it coming.
Heh, one of my very early stories that I never even typed was a blatant self-insert Mary-Sue. They’re self-satisfying, but not necessarily enjoyable for anyone else to read. ^_^
Remember the episode when Yuugi dueled Pegasus over the video tape and Pegasus ended up taking Grandpa’s soul? When he explained the Shadow Games in that episode, it showed a clip of the Magician of Black Chaos attacking Relinquished/Thousand Eyes Restrict.
Ah, sorry, I don’t have access to scripts and I think I taped over those episodes…
Yami Nikki: Heh, a lot of the Ghouls do look kind of creepy. They weren’t chosen for their looks. Some of them are cool-looking, though! I’ve gotten kind of fond of the Rare Hunter, and the guy who’s following Joey (Seeker, you said?) looks neat. Their eyes both look kind of creepy, but that’s probably a side-effect of being controlled by the Rod.
Ah, be nice to Scale! He’s not that bad! Except when people give him trouble, and then he probably is. ^_^
I know, everyone has a better Japanese voice! I’ve only managed to find one clip of Malik’s Japanese voice, but I’ll get to hear more of that soon. ^_^ Eee….
Hmm, I wasn’t listening… But we know the two shows share a lot of voice actors!
Malik DID look kind of funny with his helmet on. And I’m not sure of course, but how much do you want to bet that the dubbers put it there? Because little American children can’t see people, even supposedly evil people, riding a motorcycle without a helmet!
Sorry, I barely have anything this time… More next week, hopefully!
- Pegasus’s invitation cards didn’t look like they had any writing on them. How did Yuugi get all that specific information?
- When Yuugi and Joey met Weevil and Rex on the boat to Duelist Kingdom, Rex sounded a lot older than he does later.
- Do you think it means anything that in that ancient-style Shadow Game that Pegasus brought Bakura, Honda, and Tea to see, he was using a Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Seto Kaiba’s monster of choice?
- Jinzo’s attack looks cool!
- Has anyone else gotten the Pegasus and/or Joey starter decks yet? They’ve got some good cards…
- That short Ghoul (Rare Hunter) has an ugly nose…
- Hee hee, those two Ghouls are funny. ^_^
- Ooh, Seto seemed almost eager to help Yuugi!
- Kaiba’s becoming quite the showman…
- The Blue-Eyes White Dragons almost ate the two Ghouls!
- I like Kaiba’s fourth dragon that he summoned.
- Heh, I wonder if the Lord of Dragons could have played both Flutes of Summoning Dragons at the same time? ^_^
- Ha, Kaiba’s learned to keep his temper, but Yami Yuugi hasn’t.
- Obelisk isn’t invincible! And Kaiba was wrong when he said that it knew no equal.
- Yay, Bakura’s back! But alas, I didn’t see the part where he came in because my dad chose THAT moment to make me put away groceries… I taped it at school though, so I’ll be able to see it all (Japanese AND dub) later.
- Ha, Mako knows he’s better than Joey.
- Hee hee, Joey doing ballet? That was unexpected.
- The “mighty” Flying Fish? It’s points are only 800/500. Not very mighty.
- Ha, Mako’s right, Joey’s being too dramatic!
- Yami Bakura’s hair’s being weird today.
- Yay, Bakura and Malik! What a great combination!
- Yami Bakura’s voice is starting to sound like Vejita, late in the DragonballZ series.
- Good thing Malik didn’t run over Yami Bakura! Wow, he’s very good with that motorcycle. How long has he been riding it?
- Wow, a lot was going on in today’s episode!
- Yeep, Grandpa’s eyes were creepy when he was encouraging Joey!
- Hee hee, Joey has a “Whack-a-Mole” card! ^_^
- Ack, they mispronounced “Umi”! It’s “Ooh-mee,” not “You-mee”!
