Scale: Only losers don’t own huge anime franchises! Like Indigo! And you. Mwahaha…
Lori Kimaya: Yeah the Silent Doll’s that creepy goth-mime with all the piercing on his face.
I know in Forbidden Memories, the cards have no effects. How sad! But I would assume that the other games are like that too.
You haven’t seen the episode where Yami Bakura turns everyone into cards yet? Oh that’s a great episode. I hope you get to see it some time!
Yeah, in the original version, Weevil says he’s honored that a “cute girl” like Tea remembered him. She wasn’t too pleased. ^_^
Yami Seraphim: Yeah, I’m mostly in this for the reviews.
You’re right, Kenta IS cute! And Joey’s a complete baka. ^_^ That’s okay, I still like him.
Ooh yay, another Shadi fic! I love those. There should be more of them! Can’t wait to see it!
Yes, Ryou rules. He’s so cute.
Toby KiKami: Yeah, they do state the obvious a lot! Stupid dubbers…
Ha, it’s a huge anti-Christianity conspiracy! ^_^
Hmm, you’re right. But Yugi thought he was a normal person too, and he still respected his cards. I guess just saying “if you don’t help me win, I’ll hate you forever!” I do that sometimes. I blame my video game characters when they miss their target, and praise them lavishly when they succeed at something.
Heh, Malik wouldn’t be so misinformed, but it WOULD have been funny if the Rare Hunters went after Rex instead of Joey.
Yep, the Dark Magician Girl is the typical “magical girl” archetype in anime.
Yep, the Dark Magician’s attack looks like a mind crush. Probably because he was the Pharaoh’s special servant in ancient times.
Hmm, yeah, Jinzo DOES sound like Ginzu.
Yami Mariko: I wish they’d skip the Joey/Weevil battle too. So much more is going on, I don’t want to hear about boring people who have nothing to do with the Millennium Items or Egypt.
Griffin: Ooh, thanks for all the reviews! ^_^
I think Ryou’s British accent is cute, and it fits his character, but he’s still not British.
Oh yes, I have a Wingweaver card! She’s very pretty and a good card.
I don’t know about that third cheerleader of Otogi’s. I can see her becoming friends with the others, but Otogi didn’t seem like the type to surround himself with anything but the prettiest girls. Maybe I misjudged him, though.
I think in the Japanese version, they call Ra a dragon too. I really don’t know why… But it’s a shame they had to completely change Osiris’s name! Siphor the Sky Dragon or something that sounds like that. Or something equally stupid.
I saw Esper Roba’s smallest brother! Not very well, though. I think my TV’s too bright…
Hmm, maybe Yugi made his hair into one big spike on top to stick under the Dark Magician hat.
Eep, I wasn’t insulting Legolas! I think he’s great! I love him as much as the next person! Did you see how he mounted that moving horse from the FRONT? That was so cool. ^_^ And his hair‘s always perfectly combed.
No, Malik’s not especially short. Isis is just an especially tall person. Actually, I think Malik’s at least a bit taller than the average character.
Oh that’s right, I know the Egyptian Mao! You’re right, that must have been what I was thinking about! So you read Three-In-One Combo? ^_^ Or did I say something about that in here too?
I think they did have magic and trap cards in ancient Egypt… They would have worked differently of course.
Nano*Mecka: Heh heh, the dubbers and editors cover lots of mostly-naked female tops. Can’t have our innocent little American boys seeing things like that! ^_^
Crossover Authoress: Ooh, I hope FF.N stops being so dumb…
Yeah, Kuriboh’s so cute and brave. ^_^ And there are plenty of weaker cards than it!
When you hear Malik say “Odion,” it’s not pronounced like “Orion,” though…
Well, that’s true. I guess they don’t want to offend Christians, but they don’t care about Egyptian gods.
Aw, little Mokuba on an ego trip. ^_^
Hmm, Otogi might do well with the Millennium Eye. Of course, Yami Bakura would never give it to him!
I’m not too fond of the Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth myself, especially since it keeps getting used against me!
Avalon: Well, I could lecture about not judging people by appearances… Maybe there was something impressive about Otogi’s ugly cheerleader. But yeah, I didn’t like her either. She was not just ugly, but nasty too.
Well no, the name “Avalon” doesn’t exactly inspire fear. Neither does “Indigo.” But I apparently inspire awe. People are far too easily impressed!
Seena: Well I don‘t know if Yami Yuugi would have mind-crushed the Roba Brothers right away, but I don‘t know if he would have been so nice to them either.
No, you’re not my only information source. But you’re the only one I talk to! I have a few websites aside from you. And occasionally other reviewers. ^_^
Rrg, I taped DragonballZ instead of the second DDM episode. And it was one I’d seen at least twice before. How annoying.
I wonder if they’ll at least keep Bakura’s arm getting cut. Probably not. Maybe they’ll turn the knife into a permanent marker and make the black line a sign of their pact. And Ryou’s got thin skin or something, so the line will send him to the hospital! ^_^ Oh poor Ryou. Sent to the emergency room for a marker line. Hee hee.
I was under the impression that no one in the Japanese version ever called him “Yami.” Just “mou hitori no boku” and “mou hitori no Yuugi.”
Mariku, I don’t like sucking up after I’ve said something wrong, but you’re still the most powerful person around! ^_^
In the original, Weevil said he was honored to be remembered by such a cute girl. And Anzu was a bit sickened. ^_^ I found a sound-clip of it a while ago.
Ooh, I’ve been looking for some kind of Ankh and Scale pins. I’ve seen a little silver Ankh, but I haven’t gotten anything yet.
Jennifer: Ha, I guess the dubbers do make Malik say “strip” a lot. I wonder if it’s intentional? Because they wouldn’t make it blatantly obvious so most kids would pick it up, but they occasionally like to have some fun.
Anime*2000: Well Weevil’s a bit dishonest, yes… But if you watch closely, Yami Yugi isn’t quite as honorable as he says either. And lots of other duelists aren’t completely honest either.
Well I thought they just had no reason to call De-Spell Curse Breaker all of a sudden. But I was told that they’re actually two different cards with the same picture. Which apparently do the same thing. So I don’t know about that.
Oh no, you’re right! Without any of the people involved in Egypt, there’s just not much exciting in the show. ^_^
- Ha, the dub museum people DID welcome Isis to America! Bakas…
- I wonder why Isis chose to give Obelisk to Seto, and not Yami/Yuugi.
- How does Seto get his hair so perfectly pointed in the back?
- Wait a minute, Isis said that Obelisk was able to stop Exodia. Strong it may be, but if Exodia came out against Obelisk, Exodia would win, right?
- Rrg, stupid dubbers, trying to shove fake Millennium Item names down our throats.. There is no Millennium Necklace or Key!
- How did Isis get Obelisk’s card back from the Rare Hunters/Ghouls?
- And on the same note, I don’t think Isis ever gets Obelisk back. That must be another part of the future that was changed by the Items.
- After dealing with cool people like Malik, Isis, and Bakura, people like Weevil and Joey just seem so… boring.
- Ooh, Yuugi has an abstract painting in his room.
- Bakura’s hair not only gets longer and shorter, but it sometimes gets thicker and bigger on top, too.
- Rrg… I HATE THE DUBBERS!! Shadi’s NOT Scottish, so don’t give him any such accent!
- Wow, Cecelia has a LOT of hair. It’s not just long, it’s really… huge.
- Hee hee, Yuugi has silly toys in his soul room. ^_^
- Hmm, wait, were the Millennium Items created 3000 years ago, or was that just when the people (the Pharaoh, etc.) were sealed into them?
- What’s Yami Yuugi doing with the Blue-Eyes White Dragon in his soul room?
- That commercial says there’s “only one way to win the game.” What a lie! There are quite a few ways!
- If whoever gets all seven Millennium Items gets to rule the world, what was the point of the Pharaoh dueling for them? He already rules his world and everyone he knows about.
- Did Pegasus paint the Ties of Friendship card for the winner of the tournament or just for Yuugi? More likely it was just for the winner, but the way Croquet said it, it sounded like it was especially for Yuugi.
- Yay, I found a Shonen Jump to buy! Since they still won’t come in the mail for me. That little fortune teller had hair kind of like Bakura’s, but he was creepy!
- Season 1/manga Yuugi doesn’t know his Yami exists… I don’t think he’d like him as much as the Yuugi we know likes HIS Yami.
- In Shonen Jump, in the game where Yami and the fortune teller pulled pieces of paper out from under the bottle of chloroform, why didn’t they pull one of the pieces on the side instead of the one RIGHT under it?
- Aw, Yuugi got his carnival game booth (Shonen Jump again). He was so cute when everybody agreed to his idea. I felt sorry for the other unpopular kid, though.
- Hmm, I wonder why manga Yami Yuugi accuses everyone of trespassing in peoples’ souls. I bet he’ll be mad when Shadi shows up to REALLY go into his soul!
- Blowing someone up seems like a harsh punishment for just taking a carnival booth spot… (Shonen Jump again)
- Hee hee! Weevil called Honda Joey’s pompon girl!! ^_^
- Aw, Kenta (the kid with Serenity) is so cute!
- Joey likes his dice cards, doesn’t he?
- Oh wow Joey’s slow. I thought of a way for him to defeat Weevil’s Insect Queen as soon as she started powering up. I guess he’d have to have the right cards for it, though. And he managed pretty well on his own.
- Weevil’s laugh is really annoying.
- Ooh, Weevil has almost the insect equivalent of the Multiply card.
- Hey, I’m pretty impressed with Joey’s victory! He’s getting a lot better.
- “Weevil Underpants”? That’s just immature.
- Poor Weevil, he’s always fainting after defeat.
Endnote: Don‘t forget, wherever you want a paragraph break, with a clear line in between, type this < P> but without the space. Or if you just want to start typing on the next line without a line in between, type < BR> but again without the space. That would make things infinitely easier on me, thank you. Hope you enjoyed! Sorry there‘s not much exciting stuff this week!
