Scale: I knew it, she’s got me doing disclaimers for THIS crap now… Well guess what, losers! Indigo doesn’t own Yu-Gi-Oh! You’d be glad of that if you had any sense!
Nano*Mecka: Digimon is on at 5:30 am (central time) weekdays on my WB station. Should be on yours too. Much too early for me
to get up! I did see it once though, and wasn’t too impressed with it. The first three seasons were better.
Hmm… Honda’s motorcycle COULD look cool, but next to Marik at least, it just looks ridiculous. Marik’s hard to top in the
coolness field, though!
MaidenoftheMoon: Don’t apologize!! I love multiple reviews! I’ll have to take a look at that website if I ever have time
again!
I think they probably modeled Noa off of the green-haired Seto.
If Honda borrowed the motorcycle from his “senior,” they probably said “sempai.” That means upperclassman. So Honda probably
had an upperclassman or two who looked out for him sometimes. Or made him their slave. ^_^
JaguarKitty2006: Yep, Isis rules! I have a lot of respect for her. Even if they butcher her in the dub, she’s still great!
Bloodied Wilted Rose: Mmm, shirtless Marik…
I suppose the Puzzle COULD sense thoughts… Maybe.
No, I think Seto DID help Yami in the duel against the fake Seto. When he shouted Yugi’s name, the second (I think) Blue Eyes
White Dragon started getting all lumpy and weaker. That wasn’t Yami, he was just as surprised as the fake Seto.
Heh heh… I never thought of Yugi and Yami as a fusion like Gotenks, but I guess you’re right!
Erm… I don’t remember last Saturday’s episode. I think you’re thinking about a week behind, though.
Kaiba’sgirl: Yeah, they made Seto APOLOGIZE to a SOCK multiple times. It was rather wrong.
Kirbygurl: Actually, since I wrote that, lots more people have written nice things about Pegasus. Yay!
Shenya: Glad my rants make you feel better! Your reviews make ME feel better! Think of something interesting to say for next time!
Jess: Glad you approve! ^_^
Yeah, Marik’s a LOT better than Terrence. And probably closer to the original Romanji spelling of it, too.
Schala85: Gah! What a horrible thing to miss! Don’t worry, I didn’t think the last new episode was all that great. And
it’ll rerun!
Oh Joey just loves his Red Eyes. Everyone needs a good obsession!
I try not to offend people in my rants, because as long as people like them they won’t turn me in. ^_^
Yami-Tenshi: Oh yes, I’m QUITE glad that Marik will not be called Terrence!! You have no idea how much I rejoiced when I
heard!
Hmm… I would have been named Alexander if I had been a boy. As it is I’m Alexandra, so not much difference!
Seena: Glad you still like answering all my rants! I wasn’t saying you shouldn’t, but someone else who was doing the same
thing started sounding pretty annoyed with me. Don’t want people to get mad and get this deleted or anything… But I will
always read every bit of every review, and answer whatever I think is important!
Who did you get on your personality tests?
Yeah, when people insult me like that I take it as a challenge and a chance to make myself more perfect, but I guess Jou’s not
like that!
Heh heh… I thought you said dogs are hyper like REVIEWERS, but you said retrievers. ^_^ But them too.
Hurry up and post that story!! I must see!
Kuriboh is cute. But I want a Wretched Ghost of the Attic!! ^_^ On my head, of course!
Somebody told me that Pegasus is Yugi’s father. I don’t think it was you. But wouldn’t that be bizarre?
Aw, little Yugis running around everywhere… I want one! I’d keep him in my pocket!
They made Seto spologize to the Holiday Sock numerous times. It just wasn’t right.
Actually when I was looking up the rules for Mao, I found out that it actually might be a German game. I’m not sure why I
associate it with Egypt.
I think Marik either bought or stole his motorcycle. He DID really want one.
Maya Kaiba: I don’t know, I still can’t picture Mokuba calling his brother “Kaiba”…
Ack! That happened to our old VCR too! We ruined a tape we had from the library. ^_^
You know they probably cut out far more than we ever see in the dub. That’s why I want to get the subbed DVDs.
Hmm… I had a dream about my yami, and I think I dreamed about Yugi once. And maybe Joey, I don’t remember very well. I want
to dream about them more, though!
*sigh* No, 4Kids probably won’t get a good theme song for Yu-Gi-Oh… IF THE EVER CHANGE THE STUPID THING AT ALL!!
Yeah, the dub does avoid words having to do with death. Even more than religious references and slashy undertones. ^_^
I assume the DVDs will be badly subtitled, but I want them anyway. I wonder what the dub-version DVDs are like, though?
Yay, glad you approve! ^_^ I was so sad when your rants were killed… I hope I have better luck!
Lori Kimaya: You didn’t miss much by missing the Sock Party! It wasn’t really worth watching.
I agree, Tristan found Joey far too quickly. It didn’t explain things well enough!
The Rare Hunter won with Exodia. And Joey said he’d give him his Red Eyes because he’d won fairly, but they were intent on
beating him up anyway…
Yeah, the Rare Hunter DID have two sets of Exodia cards.
I thought my TV was just bad! So Yugi’s bangs really weren’t as yellow…
KaTyA: Eew, Tea, get your arms off of Yugi!! How nasty! He’ll have to take numerous showers and burn his clothing now…
Poor little Yugi. He’s so cute! How can anyone be mean to him?
Bringer of the Storm: Yeah, a couple of people use the Rude Kaiser in the really early episodes.
Kuribohs are cute, but I want a pet Wretched Ghost of the Attic! It looks like a demonic Kuriboh and is a little stronger.
And so cute!
Dragon Angel: Well I think in Japan it’s more common for guys to be involved with younger girls… And I think Serenity’s about
12 or 13, even if she DOES seem short, but still…
Sorry your story was deleted! That really sucks, it happened to me once.
Your mom thinks your crazy? Well, I can’t help you there. ^_^
DMG: Yeah, stupid little American kids, whose parents are overprotective. And stupid network people and translators, who
think cartoons are for little kids!!
Too bad by the time Pokemon got the voice actors right, the show was becoming dumb! I liked the first season, but then it got
too repetitive.
I send Fox Kids a very reasonable letter about them taking Escaflowne off the air, and they sent me a postcard that said they
appreciated my interest. Fools…
Mai wears something on her leg? Probably a garter or something.
No, they’re still calling the Rod the Rod. That’s good!
Lily22: Well I guess I don’t hate Anzu for talking too much. Just for what she says. I hate it when people won’t let a point
drop. Heh heh… I guess I do the same thing, though.
You did sound a little annoyed, but it’s hard to get feelings across when you’re typing.
Reyana Draconis: No, I think there’s only one real set of Exodia cards. The Rare Hunter has fakes.
Good support of Tea!
Yes, they DO mess up what the cards are and what they do a lot.
Anime*2000: Honda DOES like Serenity. ^_^
Keep in mind, Seto did that ranking. He respects Yugi, but he thinks of Joey as a REALLY bad duelist.
Alyssa: I finally got a Shonen Jump too! Yay! Yugi’s so cute! And Yami looks insane!
Ryoko Mink: Dubbing blows like… blow fish people? Hmm… ^_^
Good thing Fox Kids didn’t have a chance to put Slayers on TV. It would have been horrible.
Hirotani: Celtic Guardian DOES sound a bit like a Viking. And he’s used as the opening move a lot too.
Seashell/Sea Cucumber: It looks like they’re going to be making the second episode the new one for a while anyway, so you
won’t have to get up too early. ^_^
Well actually… I don’t duel. I play Forbidden Memories on my Playstation, but I never play AGAINST anyone. Like I said way at
the beginning, nobody I know really likes Yu-Gi-Oh. I know that the Battle City rules are closer to the real card game rules,
though.
I’m not sure how they used traps and magic in ancient Egypt!
Heh heh… Don’t consider me TOO infallible, because I really don’t know very much about the series at all! Maybe after I get
the DVDs.
I do have a website, but it just hosts my drawings and fanfics. It used to have a section about each of my favorite animes and
video games, but then it got too big and I had to cut down a lot.
Shadowwolf: Eee, I hope Kids WB will SHOW us that far into Battle City! Of course if they do I’ll probably be in Japan by then… But I won’t complain about that. ^_^
- Here’s Reyana Draconis’s good Tea-supporting rant: Tea... I can't understand why people hate her. If you think about it,
Sakura and Madison from CCS or Cardcaptors are very similar to her, somewhat hyperactive and rather optimistic. Yet I don't see
too many people bashing them. I went over some of the Japanese episodes and the anime, and she is different, and a lot more
independent to boot. It is in my opinion is not quite right to bash characters. People are entitled to their views of
characters but each character has a right to at least some respect. I admit, Tea needs a backbone sometimes and ease up on the
preaching, but I think she has a good heart and that's a major thing. She has a bit of sensitivity, because at least she was
able to sense Yami, and Joey and Tristan weren't. Then again, she and Yugi grew up together and they were very close friends.
She knows how to stand up for herself and her friends, and that incident with Johnny Steps (*grimaces at name*) she let Yami
take over because he insisted. All in all, I cannot say that I am a Tea supporter, but I don't believe in continuing to bash
her either. She is indeed a minor and somewhat annoying character at times, but really, if anyone bothers to really analyze her
character, she is a good person. You really don't have to take this, just a little expression of opinion. Thank you. (*gets off
and puts away my soapbox*)
Thank you, that was wonderful! ^_^ Although… I still don’t like her. Sorry!
- It was so dumb during the Paradox Brothers duel when the dubbers made Ryou say “Tristan, thanks for cheering me up, mate.” GAH! What stupidity!!
- Out of curiosity, how old are you people? And how old do you think the average Yu-Gi-Oh fan is? Don’t feel pathetic, I’m 19. ^_^
- I hear that aside form the obvious crowd of little boys in America, and preteen to teenage boys in Japan, the original version appealed a lot to females in their teens to early 20s (girls or women? I don’t know). Because of all the great characters, of course! If they didn’t mangle the dub so much, it might appeal to more people over here too.
- I always hear people in comic shops going on about how bad Yu-Gi-Oh is. And I don’t like it, but I can’t correct them. The dub IS that bad.
- I finally got Issue #1 of the English Shonen Jump! I’ll talk about that for a while since I haven’t gotten to watch the show much. Some stupid kid stole the Blue-Eyes White Dragon card out of the first one I bought, so I had to get another one! I’ll give the first one to a friend for Christmas. ^_^
- Manga Yugi is SO cute!! But manga/season 1 Yami is creepy! He looks scary and insane.
- …and manga Yugi has no nose if you look at him from the front! Ha ha!
- Yugi also appears to have light brown eyes in the manga.
- Heh heh… Yugi’s planning his mementos already for when his grandpa dies. Poor Jii-chan’s not dead yet! Yugi told Anzu that the Puzzle was a “memento of his grandfather.” ^_^
- But damn that manga for ruining my image of a perfectly innocent Yugi!
- Yep, if you haven’t gotten Shonen Jump yet, you need to! Only $4.95! It’s well worth it. I love the Yu-Gi-Oh manga, and Sand Land, which I’d never heard of before, is great too. Plus DragonballZ, Yu Yu Hakusho, and One Piece are good or at least tolerable. ^_^ I found it at Borders bookstore and Schnucks grocery store. Look in big book stores and comic shops, thought he comic shops around me don’t have it…
- Yami Bakura looked really shocked that Honda would betray him with Mokuba. He should have known better than to trust present-day mortals.
- Pegasus looks cool when his hair floats up above his head!
- When Yami was shaking Yugi, saying he couldn’t feel him, Yugi looked taller than usual.
- Does the Shadow Realm project peoples’… essence or something so people close to you can sense you inside it?
- Why wasn’t Yugi’s first duel against Pegasus in the Shadow Realm as hard as the second one?
- When the Dark Magician was stuck in Relinquished, he looked a bit pissed off (and with good reason), as if he wanted to say something like “You’d BETTER get me out of here.”
- When Grandpa appeared to Yami during his duel with Pegasus, Yami didn’t quite know him. I think he has memory issues.
- Pegasus did a lot of posing to go with his thoughts in his final duel. He must have looked pretty silly to anyone who couldn’t read his mind!
- Hey, Croquet was still standing by Pegasus’s chair while the Shadow Realm bubble was there. I wonder what he was doing there?
- Kuriboh’s cute, but I like the Wretched Ghost of the Attic better. It looks like a demonic Kuriboh. When they come out with that card, I want one!
- Thousand Eyes Restrict reminds me of Hiei from Yu Yu Hakusho when he had eyes all over his body in one of the OAVs.
- Does Multiply just make infinite copies of a weak monster? What does it do in the real game?
- Poor Pegasus. I really hope he was okay after his servants carried him out of the castle.
- Pegasus just left his cards scattered on the dueling platform after he lost to Yami. Someone could have taken them! Either to keep for themselves or to give back to him.
- How long has Seto been working on that Virtual Reality game? And I want to play it!
- In Seto’s virtual game, couldn’t Joey tell from the contest sign that the champion (Mai) was a girl?
- Did Pegasus really invite the others to watch his duel with Seto just to intimidate them? I think he wanted to show off, maybe even warn them, but not intimidate. Pegasus likes to start out with a confident opponent and work them down from there.
- McDonalds has some kind of “Mighty Kids Meal” with Yu-Gi-Oh cards in it right now! I should go get one just for the cards. ^_^
Endnote: Again, sorry this was so short. And sorry I’m posting later, but I’ve been at work all day. Bleh. Work’s so depressing. But your reviews will cheer me up. ^_^
